Blood and Gorges Sunday!

Horror film freaks, here's an event for you! The Blood and Gorges Film Fest will be held on Suday at 3pm in the South Club house screening room. Jack-o-lantern Contest, Horror Movies, Six Flags

Got a great Jack-o-lantern design ready to carve? Come to the NORTH Clubhouse at 3:30 on Saturday to claim a pumpkin and start carving! Snacks served, of course, and Michelle has some horror flix to keep you entertained as well! We'll honor the best jack-o-lantern at about 5pm. If you're not carving, come on by and see what's been created, have some snacks, and catch a movie!

If you requested a Six Flags ticket way back at the beginning of the semester, your RAs now have them! Plan your own ride to Six Flags, which is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, CA. We'll take a group photo of whoever shows up at 2:00 at the Six Flags Fountain inside the park (between the Chicken Plantation and the Plaza Cafe).

Here is info on the park's rides.

Here are the directions:

Take the 101 Freeway north to the 170 Freeway north. Take the 170 Freeway north to the Interstate 5 Freeway north (the 170 Freeway automatically ends at the I-5 north). Take Interstate 5 north to Magic Mountain Parkway. Exit Magic Mountain Parkway. Turn left at the traffic signal at the bottom of the exit ramp going under the Freeway overpass. Proceed along Magic Mountain Parkway to the parking toll booths and the Park entrances.

Before i forget and transported back in to my own world, this weeks movie night is tomorrow, Tuesday. There is tons of movie reels i want to see, but i know that in screenwriting class we gotta see Michael Clayton, its the one with George Clooney and Paul Juhn. Also, it has a perfect time slot, not too early, not too late, 8.15pm @ AMC 16 Burbank.

See you there!

Christian

Saturday Bowling!

Hey gang!

However, In the spirits of the Dude's 9 years, 7months and 14 days anniversary (The Big Lebowski premier) we play Bowling!

The great schedule:
Saturday @ 4pm we meet up outside South Clubhouse and sort out who needs to drive and whatnot.

The though directions:

its not too far away, prob 15minutes drive.

See you outside South Clubhouse, Saturday at 4pm.

Christian

Sportz!

Nothing like clear blue skies and blinding sunshine to make for a great day of volleyball at the Oakwood tournament. Congrats to Team Super Cereal (Joe DiMaio, Jordan Murphy, Amanda Arliss and Rob Apse) who dominated the day and claimed the championship. Thanks go out to ICLA alum Ben Cohen who reffed on the southside, and the RAs (especially Sara and Michelle) who made the BBQ such a success!

In other sports news, Christian is organizing bowling for this Saturday night in lieu of go karts (too far, too expensive). Jon will spot people for the first game, and you'll be responsible for your own 2nd, 3rd games and so on.

Also, Jon has 19 tickets for the Lakes vs. Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, Oct. 30th at the Staples Center. Game time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $20. I'll raffle the tickets if I have more than 19 people interested, so sign up on the RA board by Friday morning if you want a shot a ticket.

Walking is a sport, right? It's not too late to sign up and partipate in the AIDS Walk this coming Sunday! Time commitment is approximately 7:30am - noon. We already have over 20 people walking, so this will be a great event! It's free to sign up...just click here.

Looking ahead, Eli is organizing an Oakwood Olympics day on Nov. 10. You can watch the Cortaca Jug game via ictv.org, then compete some crazy competition for some crazy prizes!
