SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT
Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. - Feature Film General Internship

Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. offers a unique professional training internship program for college and graduate students. Focusing on genre films within Sony Pictures Entertainment's boutique marketing department, five to eight students gain professional experience in all aspects of film including promotions, publicity, creative advertising, project tracking, coverage, and the general operations of a large studio system. Interns work as a team and individually to create and implement promotional campaigns for multiple films at a time. Bi-monthly meetings with management provide discussion time to review projects and ask questions about the entertainment industry in general. The core workload is 50% back-up administrative support and 50% project management with an emphasis on independent thinking, responsibility, and initiative.

Films released through the department include Screen Gems and TriStarPictures productions. By working in a small division (mini major) within the Sony Pictures Entertainment family, this experience is unique in its opportunity to learn about all aspects of the film industry simultaneously. With only ten executives responsible for both marketing and most production, interns experience one-on-one interaction in a challenging and positive training environment.
